Old Musings - November 2001

If you can read this, I have moved to a new server. I have changed to an Australian based server, which should speed things up for readers in this hemisphere. (Sorry to those in England / Holland!) There will be a number of (hopefully) small changes that I will need to make behind the scenes, but hopefully you won't notice much. One area that will be affected is the Guestbook and it will be offline for a while - but since only had 6 entries have been made in it since it started, I doubt that this will bother anyone too much :)

I've spent the evening making up a 'Shrine to Australia'. Some interesting subjects are covered there - well worth a read, if I do say so myself.

Bad, bad things happened today. 

• Another round of cuts at the lab :( - we still aren't sure about who / how many.
• Reader's Digest have managed to track me down (I may have already won!)

Feeling lazy today. In the weekend I went to the Kosciuszko National park. Did a lot of hiking. Took a lot of photos. Can't be bothered writing too much about it today though.

Last week I also successfully challenged for the top spot on the squash ladder - for the first time in over a year (the last time I just got luck and they tore down the squash courts, so I was the top dog for an awfully long time!). I just hope I can defend it this week - I'm still feeling sore from the hiking during the weekend.
